Who doesn't know him, the funny, cheeky wooden boy who wants to become a real boy?? Many have already tried their hand at performing pinocchio. Not all of them were successful. The production by teacher irene hartmann at the rodachtal elementary school in marktrodach is a hit.
Irene hartmann has selected the appropriate inserts so that all classes can participate. She also chose the musical backgrounds. The teacher rewrote the play so that it would fit her acting group. She has been rehearsing for half a year with the 19 actors from the third and fourth grades. They slip into a total of 33 roles that first have to be learned. Colorful costumes and endless make-up rounded off the preparations.
Everyone has his task
"I'm in on it too", kiara richter from class 3b said proudly. She is not in the school drama group, but she plays the flute in the school orchestra and runs in the "playground scene" with a jump rope over the stage. All the children of the elementary school take part. The 19 actors are joined by many dancers, singers, musicians and extras.
A total of 120 children are involved in the play. The colorful costumes and the painted faces are remarkable. But all this fits to a pinocchio performance, which is just a little different.
Naturally, also in the redachtalhalle, master geppetto (marius jagusch) carves a wooden puppet from a log he bought from master kirsch (albin thaci).
But already the wooden trunk can talk and the carved boy anyway. He is supposed to go to school, but that's where it all starts. A puppet theater makes a guest appearance in town, wonderfully performed by fourth grade students who are really made up like rough puppets. Pinocchio (class katrin schnell) sells his reading book to go to the theater as well.

But the cunning fox (janina hellgeth) and the sly tomcat (emma kostner) he meets are up to no good. The little boy has to find his gold pieces in the "land of the imaginative brushes" bury so that a tree grows and many gold pieces hang from it. The wooden boy naively believes the two "investment advisors". Luckily the fairy (antonia groh) is on his side and helps him out of the mess again and again.
When pinocchio finally wants to go back to school, he meets children who are going to playland, and he simply can't resist and gets on the train as well the bus. But there he realizes that always playing and doing nothing is not so nice either. He wants to go home to his father geppetto, who is already looking for him completely relieved.
Fourth graders played puppets
Pinocchio Hauls the heavy sacks of master baker brezel (hannah muller) to earn food and drink for his poor father. He has finally understood what is important in life and the good fairy is finally happy with him.
Before and during the game, the fantastic actors were supported by the second grade float group and third grade singers. The marionette and puppet dance of the fourth grade and the song "pinocchio" the first two classes. The school orchestra together with the new percussion group played "jakob and classes 3a and 3b turned the stage into a rough playground. The theater was rounded off with the dance "click-clack" the second class.
The wonderful, varied, enjoyable but also instructive theater piece not only delighted the audience but also school principal annegret hummrich, who did not hold back with her praise. For them the school play was "pinocchio also an occasion to say thank you. Thanks to the children, of course, who do such a great job, but also thanks to irene hartmann, without whose talent such a production would probably not have been possible.
Again this year, a voluntary donation was asked for. This time it will benefit the schools in the district of deggendorf affected by the floods.
