bamberg – a playground for all children – with and without disabilities. This is not only the wish of nicole orf, the city of bamberg's representative for the disabled, but also of numerous parents for their children. Now it’s the turn of the Heilig-Kreuz school

Second mayor norbert tessmer (SPD) firmly defends himself against the repeated accusation that the main schools, now middle schools, are worth less to the city than others. "That is simply absurd", he says. Especially at the heilig-kreuz-middle school an excellent work is done, especially in the ecn (extra chance use) classes. The middle school plays an important role in view of the demographic change and the associated threat of a shortage of skilled workers. "The problems we have in connection with the structural condition are not homemade," says ullrich pfuhlmann, states norbert tessmer.
Ullrich pfuhlmann, head of the building department, points out that the structural problems have been known since 2008. At that time, the city's request was denied by the school supervisory authority, i.E. The government of upper franconia. "The heilig-kreuz school has fallen by the wayside. We do not know how the decision was made."
In fact, it does not look good for the building substance. "The energetic values are catastrophic, some of the windows can no longer even be opened." The building services, i.E. Heating and electrical systems, are 50 to 60 years old. The sports hall is no longer properly heated, some sports equipment can no longer be used because it is not safe. In addition, there are some damp spots in the building. "This can only be done through a general renovation", explained ullrich pfuhlmann. School district director klaus anderlik recalls that the windows were replaced in 1979. Since then, there have only been building maintenance measures.
Four million euros are needed for a general refurbishment. "This is the lower limit", says the head of the building department. But at least: now the space program approved by the government of upper franconia is available. It refers to the forecast for the development of school numbers up to the year 2019. "On this basis, the construction planning can now take place, which in turn is the basis for the application for building permission", explains klaus anderlik.

Schoolers are included
Plans are currently underway for 13 classrooms, 130 square meters of space for the all-day school and the after-school care program – the gymnasium will be used for this purpose – a break hall and various classrooms, teachers' rooms, etc. And what will become of the schoolchildren's ideas about their future school, which they have been working on for months in a project workshop with students from coburg university?? "We have said from the beginning that we will involve the schools", says norbert tessmer. That is how it remains. However, only what is financially feasible can be implemented.
The application will be ready by the summer of this year and will be submitted to the government of upper franconia. "We might get the approval by the end of the year", says ullrich pfuhlmann. And klaus anderlik adds that construction is expected to begin in summer 2015 at the earliest. Work will probably be done in two phases. Containers are planned as an alternative for the lessons.

“Very pleasing for us”

The recommendation of the vacation committee of 20. Following april, the weitramsdorf community council unanimously approved the budget statute and plan. The committee also unanimously approved the financial plan and investment program for the years 2019 to 2023. "Debt reduction is progressing faster than planned, but investments are still being made", chamberlain christian reub commented on the total volume of around 13.5 million euros.

As "very gratifying for us" reub described the figures. The decline in trade tax and in the municipal share of income tax and social security contributions. Sales tax has already been factored in. Half of the approximately 3.2 million euro budget is financed from reserves. "If we didn’t have any cash on hand, that would be our borrowing requirement," commented, explained the chamber. After the deduction, the reserve still amounts to more than 6.4 million euros (as of 23 december 2008). March 2020). 676000 euros are available for investments, debts can be repaid in the amount of 393 000 euros. With the new per capita debt of 359.74 euros, the community is "well below the state average of 651 euros", according to reub.

House builders can finally get started in steigengasse

The most welcome news came at the end of the public town council meeting in neuenmarkt on monday evening, when mayor siegfried decker (NG) responded to the question from town councilor klaus zahner () as to whether the sale of the municipal building plots in the "steigengasse" development area had already begun was started, the answer was: "it is getting underway!" The first building sites have already been notarized according to the mayor’s words, others will follow in the next few days.

Many "house builders were in the "waiting loop" for more than a year, but now it can finally start. The reason for the delay was the issuance of a water law permit for the discharge of surface water into the "gasgraben".

Intoxicated schoolchildren

Intoxicated schoolchildren

The students at altenkunstadt secondary school feel as if they are intoxicated these days – not because of high-proof drinks, but because of a very special pair of glasses: intoxicating glasses. During ADAC safety training, in which the seventh to tenth grades participate, it does not provide any clarity, but clouds the senses of the young people. After their intervention, even the last one will understand: drinking alcohol and driving a car? This is not compatible!

The school from the 9. Classes of the M-train have to giggle as soon as one of their fellow students staggers across the course. But as soon as it’s their turn, they stop laughing. "With the glasses you see everything twice. One feels dizzy and has problems to keep one’s balance", describes 16-year-old daniel frobel from burgkunstadt.

Industrial park gets fast network

Strullendorf industrial park gets a fast fiber-optic network. Stadtnetz bamberg invests over 150,000 euros in future-proof infrastructure that allows companies to enjoy internet speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second.

Fiber optic expansion in the industrial park between the railroad line and the main-danube canal, the B 505 and the "an der schleuse" road stadtnetz bamberg, a wholly owned subsidiary of stadtwerke bamberg, is laying the fiber optics to the buildings of the companies that have opted for the connection. By eliminating the need for copper cables, it will be possible to achieve almost infinite data transfer rates for the connected companies. The symmetrical bandwidths with which customers can upload and download at the same speed are 10 gigabits per second. This means that a data volume of 1.25 gigabytes can be transmitted within one second. Construction work to be completed in october.

Niclas studies at the german soccer boarding school

Niclas wich sits at the table and talks about his time at the german fubball boarding school in bad aibling. Meanwhile, under the table, he pushes a ball from the right to the left fub and back again. Niclas can hardly live a minute without fubball. "He even sleeps with a ball in his bed", underlines his mother.

His love of this sport is also what prompted him to leave home and seek his sporting fortune in bad aibling – despite the fact that he is only 13 years old. Until then, the player from steinwiesen played for spvgg bayreuth in the upper district league. But now he wanted to take the next step. In addition, the time burden was too great. "We had to drive him to bayreuth a total of five times a week. Sometimes he even had to do his homework in the car", his mother emphasizes. So it wasn't always easy to balance school and sports.

Between craftsmen, fitters and colored buckets, the first weights are already being lifted, because the new fitness center of the AC bavaria forchheim has, as promised, been completed on 1 january 2009. October the gates open. It still smells more like paint than sweat. This will probably not change until the silicone sealants in the last showers have dried and are thus usable.

"The coolest gym i’ve seen so far", he tells his story between punching bag and weight bench. Henry dippachers has a similar opinion: "the new equipment is much better and the new rooms are also great."

The mobile boxing ring for combat sports also arrived on tuesday and only needs to be assembled. What is still missing is the signage for the building: "the signs are still driving through the country in some delivery van, they haven’t found us yet." The first visitors nevertheless find their way around and enjoy the calm before the storm to work on their biceps, triceps and six-pack.
