It's not just going to be an asphalt ribbon from A to B, the fub and bike path that will connect the fortuna culture factory in hochstadt with the parking lot at the festplatz in the aischauen next spring. Architect fritz wiesneth wants to make the walk along this path an experience.
The new pathway is part of the aubenanlagen around the fortuna cultural center, whose construction is also scheduled to begin in spring. The building committee of the hochstadt city council approved the plan at its meeting on monday evening. With the design of the open space behind the former factory building and the sports facilities in the adjacent aischwiesen meadows, the fortuna project will finally be completed and once again strongly upgraded.
Architect wiesneth liked the path from the parking lot to the auben facilities as a "small axis of art design. "One should also think of the culture", says the architect and envisages flat surfaces for this purpose. The route of the path will be laid out in such a way that the walker always has the hochstadt castle in view when going to the parking lot.
Light from solar lamps
To make the pathway inviting at night as well, it will be illuminated with solar lights that are independent of the power grid. It should generally tie hochstadt-sud closer to the city center. A ramp and stairs lead up to the open land behind the cultural center. The remains of the old boiler house, which is a listed building, will be converted into an exhibition pavilion, into which a covered stage will be integrated in the direction of the main building.
Here, in the acoustically shielded courtyard of the cultural center, evening concerts, summer cinema and other events could take place. In order to provide visitors with drinks, a mobile bar is also planned in the pavilion, in front of which a small beer garden will be set up under the coarse chestnut tree.
"The beer garden, however, is not to become a gastronomic operation", emphasizes architect wiesneth. There are no plans for a tenant and no plans for permanent management. Only during events will the organizers have the opportunity to entertain their guests in the open air.
Space is kept free on the paved land for a coarser stage that can be aligned with the aisch meadows. Such a stage had already been preserved at the second young-and-free festival.
A soccer field is being built on the aisch meadows, along with a basketball court, a skating area and an "adventure area" for children. The buildings are coordinated with the water management office.
