The students at altenkunstadt secondary school feel as if they are intoxicated these days – not because of high-proof drinks, but because of a very special pair of glasses: intoxicating glasses. During ADAC safety training, in which the seventh to tenth grades participate, it does not provide any clarity, but clouds the senses of the young people. After their intervention, even the last one will understand: drinking alcohol and driving a car? This is not compatible!
The school from the 9. Classes of the M-train have to giggle as soon as one of their fellow students staggers across the course. But as soon as it’s their turn, they stop laughing. "With the glasses you see everything twice. One feels dizzy and has problems to keep one’s balance", describes 16-year-old daniel frobel from burgkunstadt.

The event is not only a lot of fun for the young people, but also an educational lesson. Hauber shows the young people the effects that alcohol, drugs and medications can have on driving a vehicle: "even as low as 0.3 per mille, you notice an increase in reaction time. Hauber repeatedly tests the schoolchildren’s knowledge on the subject of "drugs and traffic. The expert is amazed at what young people already know. When asked what health consequences alcohol can have, tatjana sokolow answers as if shot from a pistol: "it kills brain cells."
The middle school students also learn about the legal consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol. "For novice drivers, the probationary period or up to the age of 21. "You can also live without alcohol, says the inveterate teetotaler hauber. The message of the event, to be conscientious with alcohol, gets through to the young people. 16-year-old robert domschke from baiersdorf answers that "you should only drink alcohol in moderation, because it is bad for your body and impairs your driving ability."
