Not only the treasurer of the SV/DJK sommerach will be pleased with the council’s decision on monday evening: this year, too, the sommerach sports club will receive a voluntary donation of 5,000 euros in accordance with the unanimous resolution.
The development of the kindergarten extension and renovation is also encouraging: according to mayor elisabeth drescher, the tree removal is on schedule. Thus, in the first week of august, the finishing elements of the intermediate wall are expected to be installed. "During this time there will be a half-way road closure in the nordheimer strabe, but an exact date will be announced", reported drescher. As she announced, at the meeting on 20. June decided on various supplementary bids in connection with the construction. There was a misinformation: the supplement for the underpinning of the retaining wall did not come from the engineering firm fischer, but from the firm schmuck bau.

And again the kindergarten was a topic. This was about the preparation for the change of use of the parish house, where the steppkes will temporarily find their residence during the removal of trees. "It is in full swing", informed drescher, but a final decision from the district office is not yet available.
The renovation of the st. Georg fountain in the center of the village is almost shot down. Because the fountain was leaking, basic renovation of the interior plaster had to be done. In a short time the scaffolding can be removed and the fountain can be put into operation again.
On weekends, the mulleimer buckets in the municipal area are no longer sufficient. Due to the high volume of gas along the altmain, the mulle buckets can no longer hold the quantities that are produced, drescher reported. There are currently more than 20 trash cans around the main gate of the avenue and the altmain, and these are emptied twice a week.
If the quantity of the mulleimer should be increased, the mull garbage cans in the building yard are not sufficient, it had to be ordered additional garbage cans around the mull volume to catch up. According to the information provided by the head of the municipality, litter bins have already been installed on the beach and at the canoe landing for better sorting.
Drescher praised the voluntary commitment in the winegrowing community of sommerach. She thanked the obst und gartenbauverein (fruit and horticulture association) for clearing the multigenerational square at the maintor of weeds in a joint effort.
1000 euros for cultural purposes
The raiffeisen foundation sommerach donated 1000 euro to the community of sommerach. According to drescher, the amount will be used for cultural purposes.
The ground chessboard at the multigenerational square at the maintor has not yet been used since its completion. The municipal council discussed this situation. Since this year many people are on vacation in domestic areas, the parish wanted to install in the next few days the complete board game. The safety of the playground figures caused discussions in the municipal council, since a daily inspection must take place. It is also very important that the figures are kept in a safe place. The installation of the board game in the morning will be done by the building yard, in the evening different municipal councils will take over the clean-up work in alternation.
