The preliminary insolvency administrator, hubert ampferl, is to sound out two possible investors beforehand as to whether they want to take over the entire company as a package – including the bakery in neufahrn – despite hygiene deficiencies and the baking ban.
The food inspectorate had again discovered vermin in some places in the coarse bakery in the munich suburb and therefore left the baking ban imposed at the end of january in force. The insolvency administrator announced on wednesday that the creditor committee now wants to "analyze the changed situation in detail". At the same time, investor talks continued at high pressure. At the beginning of next week, the creditor committee will meet again and make a decision.
Insolvency payments for the 1250 employees will expire at the end of next week. The loopholes for mice and cockroaches in the bread factory could only be eliminated with further, fundamental reconstruction work. However, the insolvency administrator himself does not have the time or money to do this. After the decision by the supervisory authorities not to lift the production ban, ampferl had therefore declared that the focus from now on would be on selling the store network without the factory. There are many interested parties for the sales rooms.
The preliminary insolvency administrator will now "also sound out what options are still available in talks with investors," his spokesman explained after the creditor committee meeting. Banks, employees, lessees, suppliers and credit insurers are represented on the committee.
Trade unionist mustafa oz said there may be two interested parties. Ampferl will make it clear in the next few days how interested she still is in the overall package and how reliable a possible offer would be. The believers wanted to wait and see.
The unionist accused the previous owner, klaus ostendorf, of hastily dropping muller-brot and filing for bankruptcy. By the time a contractor was able to guarantee the authorities the necessary new buildings and conversions, production in some areas might already have started up again.
