Those who thought the farmers' protest rallies against current federal and state agricultural policies were a flash in the pan were wrong. It goes on. Today, around 70 farmers from the coburg region alone will roll with their tractors in the direction of nurnberg to take part in a rally there.

There will be several rallies throughout germany today, organized by the movement "land creates connection – we call to table" (LSV) has called for. The one closest to the coburg farmers is the one in nurnberg. It takes place from 13.30 held at the volksfestplatz. Politicians from various parties are expected to attend the event and will then be interviewed by the organizers on the stage about the current situation of agriculture. It is the central event for bavaria.

Already in the morning, the tractors are supposed to line up on the land, which will not be sufficient in view of the expected number of participants. Therefore, vehicles will also have to stand in front of the land. The event is expected to last until 4 p.M. Then the convoys of tugboats leave again. The farmers' main points of criticism are parts of the new dung ordinance, the controversial measuring methods for nitrate contamination of the soil and the planned regulatory restrictions on plant protection. But they are also concerned about planning security for the future of their farms, which they no longer see in view of the rapidly changing political environment.

When it comes to climate protection and biodiversity, farmers want to be seen as part of the solution, not the fundamental problem. They take to the streets for this.
