Always on the weekend after pentecost, around trinity sunday "trinitatis", the greuthers celebrate their kerwa. The sun was very kind again and the easternmost part of hochstadt can celebrate the kerwa for three days without any worries. As usual, it is the kerwage community itself that taps the first beer keg and not the burgermeister. More than half of the 186 inhabitants of the village belong to the kerwage community – a celebration must be a success!
On saturday afternoon, the kerwash tree erection was on the program. People in red and blue shirts flocked from all over the place. Those in the red shirts had musical instruments under their arms. That was the "greuther blos'n", the brass band – all brass players who got together in 2004 especially for the kerwa. The decorated tree was already waiting and slowly a real small procession was formed.

In front marched two of the youngest members of the kerwa community with their shields, then the brass band and finally the 21.47 meter high kerwasbaam – the greuther measure exactly – accompanied by the young boys and pulled by an old fendt from the 50s, driven by markus lunz. Sunday began with a service at the st. Josef chapel, later the "brass band zentbechhofen" provided at the "weibwurst-fruhschoppen" for a good mood. In the afternoon it was not boring at all at the children's program with face painting, beading and salt dough, all under the guidance of marie trenkmann. And reinhold eberlein increased the already good atmosphere with his light music.

Today's monday then slowly reads the kerwas end in. At 14 o'clock the festival starts with coffee and cake and from 17 o'clock the popular greuther salzknochla with kraut and bread served to all guests to enjoy. At 6 p.M., the two "duo con brio" from rhon will bring a special atmosphere to the to end the day with a real swing in the marquee.
The kerwage community always donates a part of the festival proceeds to charity. Last year the money flowed for the heating renewal of the church.
